Flame Ballets

Flame have a number of ballets, where the movement of the kites is choreographed to synchronize with the music (as opposed to simply flying kites with music in the background).

Two Tribes

Welcome To The Pleasure Dome album cover

This is Flame's current competition ballet.

City of Delusion

Black Holes and Revelations album cover

This is Flame's four person ballet, set to a shortened version of a Muse song.

Feelin' Good

Origin of Symmetry album cover

This ballet is set to a version by Muse of the song made famous by Nina Simone, originally from the musical 'The Roar of the Greasepaint - The Smell of the Crowd'. Although retired from competition, it is still performed in most Flame demonstrations.

Weapon of Choice

Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars album cover

This is a pairs routine (for two kites) used by two members of Flame who also compete as a pair, Phoenix. It is also often included in Flame's demonstrations.

March of the Toreadors

Carmen album cover

This was Flame's first original choreographed ballet, to the classic Toreador theme from Carmen.

Videos of some of Flame's ballets can be found on the Movies Gallery Page.
