Team Flame win the UK National Championship by a very narrow margin ahead of the 6-man Scrtach Bunnies in second place, reversing last years result.

January '07

Team Flame expand to four! Tony Shiggins, former memmber of Matrix Management, has now joined Team Flame to allow the team to explore new options available with a four person configuration. The team are starting to develop a new four person ballet, though this is unlikely to be ready in time for this season. In the mean time, Tony will appear in the number 3 position at some events, especially those that Alex cannot attend due to University commitments.

October '06

Having achieved 4 As at A-level, Flame member Alex takes up a place at Imperial College, London, studying Physics. Term starts the day Flame return from EuroCup!

September '06

Team Flame achieve 3rd place in the 2006 European Cup at Fort Mahon, France, with 1st place in the precision discipline.

August '06

At the final round of the UK nationals, a strong performance by Flame took the contest with the Scratch Bunnies all the way to the finish. When the results were announced, Flame took second position in the overall competition, separated from the winners, the Scratch Bunnies, by less than a tenth of one percent over the year, the tightest ever finish of a UK Championship.

June '06

Alex's exams prevent Flame from competing at Southampton, where Scratch Bunnies take the win with the UK debut of their new six man ballet, with ex-World Champions Carl and James Robertshaw joining the Bunnies' ballet line up.

Team Flame win the first round of the UK Nationals, at Rougham.

Team Flame achieve 9th place in the 2006 World Sport Kite Championships at Berck-Sur-Mer, France.

Team Flame achieve 4th place in the 2005 European Cup at Cervia, Italy.

Flame declared UK National Champions. Flame win the final round of the UK Nationals at Newbury, giving them victory in the closely contested UK National Championships.

In marginal conditions, Matrix Management narrowly beat Flame in the fourth round of the UK Nationals at Southampton.

Team Flame take 13th place in the 2005 World Sport Kite Championships at Oregon, USA, despite a ankle injury to Alex Savell.

Flame win the second round of the UK Nationals at Middle Wallop.

Flame win the first round of the UK Nationals at Rougham.

Flame take delivery of a team set of new Fury kites from Carl Robertshaw.

Zoe and Fran's family is expanded by the arrival of a baby girl, Phoebe.

Alex Savell is announced as the the new number 3 in the Team Flame line up for the 2005 season.

Ewan Russell announces his retirement from competion flying.

Matrix Management narrowly beat Team Flame, who take second place in one of the most tightly contested UK Championships in years, with less than 3% seperating 1st place from 3rd place.

Team Flame again compete in an expanded World Championships at Berck-Sur-Mer, featuring no less than 17 teams. Flame take 11th place in a tightly contested mid-field.

Flame appear at 17th Bristol International Kite Festival.

Flame appear in Bath Evening Chronicle.

9 - 10 August '03

Flame declared UK National Champions. Flame take second place at the final round of UK championship at Middle Wallop Summer Kite Festival, to clinch the UK National Championship for the second year running.

19 - 20 July '03

At the Newbury Kite Festival, team member Barry is joined by son Alex for a ballet demonstration as pair Spark.

21 - 22 June '03

Flame win third consecutive round of the UK team competition at Southampton Kite Festival. On Sunday, team reserve and new mum, Zoe, appeared with the team for the first time this season, taking over Ewan's slot in a ballet demonstration.

24 - 25 May '03

Flame further strengthen their challenge for the championship with a convincing win in both ballet and precision at the Middle Wallop Spring Kite Festival.

17 - 18 May '03

Flame stake their claim for the UK title by winning the first round of the National Championships at Rougham Kite Festival.

5 - 13 April '03

Flame again attended the world championship at Berck-Sur-Mer in France. This year they achieved 7th place. However, the team were disappointed not to have placed higher, a combination of errors and poor luck with the conditions allowed the other British teams to beat them. Flame are determined to reverese this state of affairs and put this right in the UK Championships later in the year.

A New Flame Has Come! Team Flame are delighted to announce that team member Zoe has given birth to a son, Michael.

Flame win final round of UK championship at Middle Wallop Kite Festival, and become UK National Champions.

Flame win team ballet competition at Newbury Kite Festival.

Flame win second round of UK championship at Southampton Kite Festival.
